Who We Are
ANDREW
Head Coach
I started my football journey as a young boy playing for my schools and county. I attended the FA School of Excellence, making it all of the way to England regional school boy level. I have been a qualified FA level 1 football coach since 2018 and in this time, I have used my qualification to set up and run a number of football teams and sessions in the local area. I have also continued to learn and develop in my coaching career by undertaking further courses and by being part of the FA Women's High Performance coaching centre, where I learn new skills and knowledge to take into my coaching sessions. I have also recently completed the UEFA C coaching course to enable me bring a higher level of knowledge to my coaching sessions. I have experience of coaching in schools, football sessions and roadshows as well as coaching my own team for Bodmin Youth FC for who I am also the welfare officer. I run the Bodmin Wildcats Girls football centre and soon will be running the new FA Squads incentive at Bodmin Youth. I hold the 1st4sport The FA Level 2 Emergency First Aid in Football certificate along with the In Safe Hands QA Level 3 award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) qualification. I am qualified in safeguarding and hold an enhanced DBS certificate. I am passionate about coaching football and making it enjoyable for the children that I am coaching.
KARL
Assistant Head Coach
I started playing football at the age of 5 and played youth football until I was 18, playing for various youth teams as well as my school team and for East Cornwall school boys. I then went on to play men's football, playing in the East Cornwall League. I have many years experience at coaching both adults and children's football. I have managed in the Duchy League and in the East Cornwall League winning 2 league titles and winning promotion twice as runners up. I hold a class 2 referee qualification, refereeing at England School boy level. I have completed my FA playmaker course and Squads football training. I coach at my local Wildcats girls football centre and am coach for an under 8's football team. I have grown up with football all of my life as my Dad was a youth football coach and now want to pass my knowledge on to the next generation of football players. I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and have been a first aider for 25 years in my respective workplaces.
SARA
Coach
My football journey began back in 2020, being a parent to a football loving daughter (Lilly). I have fully supported her journey into the game and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it with her.
In 2021 I joined a team myself, Bodmin Women FC. Throughout my first season I have played in many positions, mainly defence. I have 4 children and we are all avid Liverpool fans
A new part of my journey has now began since recently completing The FA Playmaker course and holding an enhanced DBS, I have decided to begin my path into female coaching.
I look forward to see you all shortly at our sessions.
BROOKE
Youth Coach
I have played football for 5 years, I play for a girls team with Bodmin Youth and I also play representing my school. I have trained and played for Cornwall girls and have also played a match for Wiltshire girls. I have been coaching girls football at Bodmin Wildcats Centre as a Youth Coach and would like to be a PE teacher when I am older so coaching the children helps me to gain valuable experience. I look forward to helping to coach the children at Big Shots Football School, passing my skills and knowledge on to the next generation of footballers.
LILLY
Youth Coach
I enjoy playing and coaching football. I play football for Bodmin Youth Girls, I train once a week and play regular games. I am on the journey in order to become a youth leader/coach. I enjoy this as not only do I get to show off my love and passion for football, I also get to help young children express their excitement for sports. While training to be a youth leader I have met many people who have shared their experiences within football with me.
CARLI
Admin/Social Media
I am proud to provide the admin and social media support to Big Shots Football School. I have over 20 years experience in an administrative role which I bring to Big Shots Football School. You may also see me at the sessions signing the players in and helping out. I hold a FA Playmaker Certificate and also hold an advanced FA DBS certificate. I am an avid football fan and a Sheffield United supporter (don’t hold that against me). I love watching my own children play football and am excited to be part of Big Shots Football School giving children the opportunity to learn how to play football in a fun and safe environment.
